De Havenbus respects your privacy. In this Privacy Policy you can read what kind of personal data we collect and how we store, protect and use your personal data. Furthermore, you can read for which purposes we will use your personal data and with whom your data will be shared. 

 

WHAT DOES THIS PRIVACY POLICY APPLY TO?

This Privacy Policy applies to your use of the "Havenbus app" (Android & iOS version).

 

PERSONAL DATA

In this Privacy Policy, your "personal data" means information or pieces of information that could allow you to be identified.

 

YOUR CONSENT

De Havenbus will not collect, use or disclose your personal data without your consent. Therefore, we ask you to agree to this Privacy Policy before you can use our app.

 

WHICH PERSONAL DATA DO WE PROCESS?

Your personal data may be collected in several ways, for example when registering on our app, placing an order, filling out a form, contacting us or using our services.
We will ask you to create an account on the app. By doing so, you will be asked for your surname, name, phone number, e-mail address and password. 
We also consult your device language.

 

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

We use and process the personal data you have provided us with for the purposes described below.

  • We use your name and surname to complete the booking of rides with the Havenbus;
  • We use your phone number to contact you in cases of emergencies (cancelled Havenbus rides or delays);
  • We use your email address to register your account; 
  • We use the data about your browser language in order to address you in a language you speak. 

 

WHO DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL DATA WITH?

De Havenbus does not sell, trade, or rent personal data to third parties.

 

THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERS

In order to render our services, there are data that we will need to share with a third-party service provider. We want to inform you about the following third-party service provider: 
If you use the payment service, your email address and name will be shared with the payment processing company (in our case Stripe,  https://stripe.com). This third-party is contractually obliged not to use said data for any other purpose than providing the buyer with the funds to buy new ticket(s).

 

HOW DO WE PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

We work hard to protect your personal data from unauthorized or unlawful access, alteration, disclosure, use or destruction. We encrypt our services using SSL, the data is only accessible through a secret password and digital signatures, and our employees only have access to your data on a need-to-know basis. We use appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices.

 

MODIFICATIONS TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We can update our Privacy Policy from time to time. When we change this Privacy Policy in a significant way, we will post a notification with the updated Privacy Policy. We will request you to accept the updated Privacy Policy before you can continue your use of our app.

 

YOUR RIGHTS AND WHO TO CONTACT

You have the right to tell us if you:

  • don't want to be contacted in the future by us;
  • would like us to correct, update or delete your personal information in our records;
  • wish to report any misuse of your personal information.
